Run for Precious Hearts 2027

Run for Precious Hearts is a community 1K and 5K in Pleasant Grove, Utah, held at Cook Family Park. The race honors people affected by Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension, or PAH, and raises money for awareness, patient advocacy, and research into earlier diagnosis and better treatment. It is designed as a family-friendly event, including runners, walkers, children, strollers, and supporters. The 1K family loop stays within Cook Family Park, suitable for kids, walkers, and families with strollers. There is also a Kids 1K for ages 7 and under, plus a virtual 5K for those who want to support the cause from afar. The race is held in memory of Carli Smyth, who died from PAH at age 26; Pleasant Grove is significant to the event because she met Matt at Pleasant Grove High School, built her life in the city, and is buried there.
