Summit Mountain Challenge 2027

Summit Mountain Challenge is a six-race summer mountain bike series on the trails of Summit County, Colorado. The races are held on Wednesday evenings from May through August, with start times between 5:00 and 9:00 PM. Riders can choose long, short, or kids' course options, making the series suitable for competitive adults, newer racers, families, and young riders on the same local calendar. The series concludes with the Breckenridge Classic. Overall standings require consistency, with racers needing to finish five of the six races on the same course length to qualify for a series win. Breckenridge Recreation acquired the series from Jeff Wescott of Maverick Sports Promotions, maintaining his community-first approach: affordable, organized events that bring riders together. As the courses utilize Forest Service land in the White River National Forest, weather and trail conditions may necessitate delays, cancellations, or rescheduling.
