Along the scenic Semaphore coastline, Coastal Brave keeps things simple: running with purpose, sea air, and a community field rather than a large-production race. It fits the "low cost, low key coastal fun running community events" mould, with part of each entry going to charity, including Bravehearts and the Australian Cancer Research Foundation.
The course is flat and multi-looped on the shared cycle and walking path, offering a run where you settle into rhythm and keep catching the "stunning ocean views" each lap. Runners and walkers of all fitness levels participate, and the point is the affordability and relaxed start-line feel, with $5 from every registration helping causes like "Protect Kids."
