40. Braunschweiger Nachtlauf 2026

The Braunschweiger Nachtlauf uses Bohlweg in central Braunschweig for an evening road race organized by MTV Braunschweig. The 40th edition provides several short-distance options: 3.35 km, 6.5 km, and 9.65 km, along with a 6.5 km team run for four runners starting together. The event is designed for a broad field, with races open to children, young runners, adults, clubs, casual runners, and groups seeking a shared start. All races begin and end on Braunschweig’s Bohlweg. The course is flat, focusing attention on pace, crowds, and the city-center setting rather than climbs. This anniversary edition features a revised concept and a new route. Runners are encouraged to wear 1980s-style outfits. Braunschweigische Sparkassenstiftung is the main supporter, and the event's local framing is "from small to big," aiming to give the region a full night of running.
