The Stadtwerke Halbmarathon Bochum is a city road race in Bochum, North Rhine-Westphalia, offering 5 km, 10 km, and half marathon distances. It takes place annually in early September, designed for a broad local participation base, from serious half marathon competitors to those opting for shorter runs. The event also features children’s and junior races, along with a 250-metre Bambini run for very young participants.
The half marathon begins and ends on Viktoriastraße. It follows an initial lap, then proceeds with three laps through Bochum. Half marathon runners and four-person relay teams navigate the same 21.1 km course, with a relay exchange point situated on Hunscheidtstraße. The route includes passages by Königsallee and Farnstraße, features an on-course refreshment station, and the event incorporates musical entertainment alongside the races.
