Daim'guerie de Cassaigne takes place at the Château de Cassaigne in the Gers, with the château serving as the start and finish point. It is more than just a running event: the program includes a timed 12 km trail race, walking options, and a mountain-bike ride, allowing runners, hikers, and cyclists to share the same setting.
The routes traverse the château vineyard area, with sections passing through vines, woodland, and the rolling countryside of southwest France. The bike event offers three distances, 12 km, 27 km, or 40 km, under the name La Boucle du Manseng Noir, while the trail is a short timed race originating from the château grounds. The location adds significant local history: Château de Cassaigne was once a residence of the bishops of Condom, and the event highlights Gers food, wine country, and local outdoor life rather than resembling a standard road race.
