Sobre esta carrera
The Osaka Yodogawa Night Marathon takes place in the evening along the Yodogawa River in Osaka, beginning in the late afternoon and concluding at 22:00. Participants can select from 5 km, 10 km, half marathon, or 30 km distances, with a limit of 1,500 runners per distance. The 5 km and 10 km races have a time limit of 2 hours 30 minutes, while the half marathon and 30 km offer 3 hours 30 minutes. This race series has been held for over two decades and also offers 1 km and 5 km races for elementary school students.
The course runs alongside the river, offering a straightforward path rather than a tour of the city center. As it will be dark, runners should wear lights or bring a headlamp; headlamps are available for rent. The event provides aid stations, medical support, baggage check, restrooms, pacers for the half marathon, and photo opportunities. Runners who have completed 10, 20, or 30 races in the past are eligible for special entry options, and participants may purchase an event T-shirt for an additional cost. Start and finish points might be relocated due to weather or river conditions.
