Bieg Wiewiórki is a running series in Ruda Śląska, located at ul. Energetyków 15, running from early spring through autumn. The main race consists of a 4.2 km loop; runners over 15 decide their distance, completing up to five laps. Nordic walkers begin with the main race, covering up to three loops. Children under 15 have a separate 1 km race just before. This format suits both those aiming for a longer run and families seeking a shorter, organized outdoor morning.
The course is straightforward: a single loop repeated. Runners choose if their race ends after one lap or continues toward the maximum distance. The five-loop option has a 2 hour 45 minute time limit, requiring some planning for those going the full distance. The series has been organized in Ruda Śląska since 2016 by MOSiR Ruda Śląska and the city president. It attracts experienced runners, novices, Nordic walkers, children, and spectators to a local gathering. Organizers view it as a series of recurring events, fostering community and support around the races.
