Marathon Monk Ultra is an intimate Ultramarathon at Sky Maple Farm, centered around Mitsunaga Endo Tai-Ajari, the 50th monk in modern history to complete the Kaihogyo, a thousand-day walking meditation. Run or walk a one-mile forest loop with him as moving meditation, free from clocks or competition. A Mala bead is given for every lap to track distance without cell phones. Contemplative practices are offered across the farm, concluding with a vegetarian farm-to-table dinner and dialogue with Ajari-sama.
