The Klagenfurt Airport Night Run is a 5.5 km run and walk held at night on the illuminated runway of Klagenfurt Airport in Carinthia. It starts at 21:00, giving participants 1.5 hours to cover the route, with the option to complete the runway course once or more than once. Times are recorded and sorted into age-group results after the finish.
The main draw is the setting: runners and walkers use the airport’s take-off and landing area, a space normally closed to public sport. Walking poles are not allowed, but the event is aimed at a broad field, including runners, families, walkers, and people interested in the airport itself. Proceeds go to autArK, a non-profit that supports people and companies with professional and social inclusion, and the evening ends with an after-run party with Antenne Kärnten.
