St. Johanner Oktoberlauf

The St. Johanner Oktoberlauf is a traditional town-center running event in Sankt Johann on the Austrian National Holiday. The day begins with the Raiffeisen Juniorlauf for children up to age 13, followed by the 6 km main run and the SBS team event, all starting from Maria-Schiffer-Platz in the center of town. The children’s race runs from the main square toward Silbergasser and back through the town park, with distances from 360 to 800 meters depending on age. The main race uses four laps of a 1.5 km loop through streets including Silbergasser, H. Kappacherstrasse, Faerbergasse, Spitalgasse, Leo-Neumayrstrasse, Kirchengasse, and Hauptstrasse, and the team event follows the same route.
