19 for 19 Challenge

Dangars Gorge in Oxley Wild Rivers National Park forms the core of this walk-run, set in private New England country rarely open to the public, with participants moving with a clear purpose. Now in its sixth year, the 19 for 19 Challenge is centered on the memory of Anya Zuber (2001-2020) and supports funding for osteosarcoma research at the Children’s Cancer Institute. The day begins with bus shuttles from the Visitor Information Centre, creating a communal atmosphere before the event starts. Participants traverse three private properties through New England landscapes, with the objective always present: safer treatments, better outcomes, and a community moving toward a future where children with cancer receive improved care.
