Coastrek Margaret River 2026

Cape Naturaliste and the Cape to Cape Track define Coastrek Margaret River: sand, soil, limestone rocks, dirt road, sealed path, and Indian Ocean views along Geographe Bay. This is where "bush meets the beach," with cliffs, caves, headlands, and rock formations providing the scenery, plus coastal and forest vegetation and wildflowers changing along the route. The route can start from Yallingup Beach or Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse, then proceeds past Kabbijgup Beach, Three Bears, Sugarloaf Rock, Bunker Bay, Rocky Point, Eagle Bay, and Meelup Beach before finishing in Dunsborough. Expect a sandy section, sharp limestone underfoot, granite scrambling requiring care when wet, and mostly flatter terrain late in the course through Meelup Regional Park into the coastal town. It attracts teams of two or more, including many "wild women - and men!", and there is a chance of spotting migrating Humpback and Southern Right Whales.
