About this race

The Wellington Dam lower carpark serves as the central point, with activities extending to the Potters Gorge blue and green trails, Potters Road, and Honeymoon Pool. The Cross Country Races, Enduro/Social Rides, and Shuttle Rides evoke a club atmosphere where racing is important, but the trails and camaraderie are equally valued. Riders of all levels, including members, non-members, and newcomers, participate. Quick riders compete on the handicapped cross-country loop, while younger children and less experienced riders have their own separate starts. The primary cross-country race follows the Potters Gorge circuit. The social and Enduro options begin at the Wellington Dam Trailhead, heading towards Honeymoon Pool. Featured trails include Big Dipper, Jabitj, Dandjoo, Honeymoon is over, and CASH OUT. The handicapping system, where slower riders receive a head start, ensures that "Everyone will have a chance to win." Following the "optional Enduro, social ride, and FREE shuttles," a complimentary sausage sizzle and drinks are provided, creating a communal atmosphere that encourages participants to linger.
