The 28th running of this long-established local race takes place in and around the small township of Elleker, formerly called the Elleker Half Marathon & 10km Road Race. It maintains a genuine club-and-community atmosphere, while still being promoted as the “largest scale running event held in the Great Southern region.”
The course offers a “pleasant, relatively flat route, showcasing picturesque karri forests and farmland,” allowing participants to find their pace without challenging climbs. Runners, walkers, and dash participants attend, with some traveling considerable distances. Manual timing and finisher medals contribute to the event's feel as a community fun run, distinct from a polished corporate event.
