Berrinba Wetlands provides the Logan Running Festival its best feature: a calm loop through parkland that "showcases the natural beauty of Logan's wetlands." It has the feel of a local runner’s event rather than a large-scale production, helped by its origins with Mark Tookey, a Crestmead resident and former NRL player who wanted it affordable, open, and fun.
The course is mostly flat concrete path, making it "ideal for runners targeting personal bests" or stepping up to a first longer race. The lap format means you pass the same spots repeatedly, with timing chips, commemorative wristbands, good spectator access, and a "supportive atmosphere as runners pass familiar faces" while enjoying tranquil wetland views throughout.
