Mt Misery Trail Run
Sunday, July 5, 2026 · Cudlee Creek, Australia
About this race
Fox Creek Bike Park places you directly into Cudlee Creek Forest Reserve. The Mt Misery Trail Run feels like the kind of event where your shoes will definitely need a clean. It is "genuine trail running" on Kaurna and Peramangk lands, through bushland where the famous Eddie the Emu might be seen and the terrain is challenging.
The course combines fire trails with technical single track, creek crossings, and the notorious “Gongshow” climb. This is described as a “proper character-building ascent” offering “breathtaking views at the summit.” Beginners who are already comfortable on hills can navigate the course, but experienced trail runners will find it more demanding, as “elevation is real.” After the climbing, mud, and concentration, finishing with Trail Running SA’s well-known brownies is the kind of tradition runners recall.
