Youngs Farm places you directly into the "rolling hills of Yolla", with Race 1 of the North West Trail Running Series constructed around a "stunning mix of farmland trails and native forest". It has the feel of a genuine grassroots trail morning: paddock edges, forest shade, and sufficient climbing to make you work without turning the short option into a survival exercise.
The courses move between open farm country and tighter bush sections, trading "panoramic rural views and immersive forest trails" as the legs warm up. Beginners can take the Short Course with "manageable elevation", while the Medium and Long Courses are intended for runners who already know how trail climbs bite. It is self-supported, so you carry your own food and water, which gives the race a no-fuss, come-prepared character.
