About this race

Skippy Park on Old Landsborough Road hosts Preferred Plaster Race The Roo, a run-only elimination race featuring a distinct kangaroo-shaped obstacle. It attracts runners of all levels, from casual park-runners to elite athletes, due to its straightforward format and challenging nature. The objective is to "complete as many laps as possible, ahead of the Roo." All participants start each lap simultaneously with the Roo, receiving a brief rest before the next pursuit. The Roo's pace increases with each lap, transforming the initial challenge into a demanding test that "tests even the most skilled endurance runners." Maintaining a lead allows you to continue; being overtaken by the Roo signifies the end of your race.
