Run Tasmania Stage Race
Wednesday, November 25, 2026 · Tasman Peninsula), Australia
About this race
The Run Tasmania Stage Race is a four-day trail race held in late November around Hobart, the Tasman Peninsula, and south-east Tasmania. Participants can select the Devil Long Course, approximately 160 km total, or the Quoll Short Course, approximately 80 km total. The long course features daily stages of 15 to 25 km, while the short course covers 10 to 23 km daily. This event is designed for trail runners seeking a supported multi-day race, with Rapid Ascent managing course marking and event logistics.
The race changes location daily. It begins on coastal trails near Kingston, proceeds to the alpine terrain of kunanyi / Mount Wellington, and then enters ancient rainforest near Fortescue Bay on the Tasman Peninsula. The final stage concludes at Cape Raoul, with the course crossing terrain above sea cliffs around 300 metres high. The format combines challenging trail days with nights in town and a wilderness stay, offering runners a staged race and an intimate view of Tasmania’s coast, mountains, forests, and cliffs.
