About this race

At New Farm Park, near the ferry terminal, Run2Cure has the feel of a local fun run with a serious reason behind it. It is organised by the registered charity Neuroblastoma Australia and sits at the heart of its push to raise awareness of neuroblastoma, an "aggressive childhood cancer." For runners, that gives the morning a bit more weight than a standard pin-on-a-bib outing. The event is public and run-focused, with several race options sharing the same fundraising purpose. Expect a crowd that includes regular runners, supporters, and "families affected," all there to "raise much-needed funds for research" and back the charity's support work. It is the sort of race where the cause is not background noise; it is why most people are on the start line.
