About this race
The East Macdonnell Ranges are the focus for the Shimano Gravel Muster, structured as a small-field outback event rather than a quick race. The rider limit is 100, and the base entry is integral to the format: an "all-inclusive base entry fee" that covers some accommodation, most meals, and extras.
The event's flow resembles a point-to-point camp more than a typical start-line gathering. Nights two and three are spent at "outback cattle stations," with riders selecting accommodation choices upon entry. A fundraising component through the Masaka Cycling Club Foundation is also present, adding dimensions beyond just results and timing.
