2025 Traralgon Marathon Festival

Glengarry Football and Netball Club serves as the start and finish point, with runners using the historic Gippsland Plains Rail Trail. The 2025 Traralgon Marathon Festival, with roots tracing back to 1968 and now in its 59th year, is known as the "friendliest marathon in the country." It offers a morning where families can gather, children can participate, and the competition is taken seriously. The course follows the rail trail, providing a clearly marked out-and-back route. Bib pick-up and merchandise near the Traralgon Cenotaph form a local tradition before race day, with the post-race gathering at Glengarry. Runners under 18 have a dedicated category, and participants are encouraged to "Please stick around for medals, food and to celebrate" with loved ones.
