Sydney Olympic Park gives Triathlon Pink - Sydney a large-venue feel, but the mood is wonderfully unserious: “not your average triathlon,” “all about the ladies,” and very much “all about fun.” This is the kind of triathlon where the nerves at the start line come with a lot of pink kit, pink jokes, and people who are there to race without pretending the whole thing has to be grim-faced. The swim is in the pool, which keeps that first leg controlled and friendly, then the bike and run roll out on closed roads around the park.
