About this race
Belair National Park marks the beginning, signaling this is no leisurely trail day. The Yurrebilla Trail Ultra Marathon follows the Yurrebilla Trail through the Adelaide Hills, running point-to-point toward Athelstone via native bushland. It has the character of a true trail ultra: demanding terrain, open sections, and sufficient technicality to maintain focus.
Underfoot, anticipate "challenging single-track trails, fire roads, and technical terrain," featuring creek crossings, exposed ridgelines, steep ascents, and satisfying descents. The views across the foothills are expansive, earned through effort, and the clearly marked paths do not simplify the run. This event suits experienced trail runners, though more capable newer trail runners might manage the shorter option by respecting the gradients and uneven ground.
