Batirun Liège

Batirun Liège is a relay race held in Liège, Belgium, designed for individuals in the construction sector and their partners. The race takes place at the SL16 Football Campus, with teams consisting of three colleagues instead of individual runners. Each team divides the running into legs of 3 km, 6 km, and 9 km, with electronic chips used for timing. Facilities like changing rooms and showers are provided on-site, creating an atmosphere more akin to a company sports event than a typical public road race. The core concept involves colleagues running their individual segments before crossing the finish line together, emphasizing the team aspect beyond mere registration. Following the race, a walking dinner with an open bar facilitates networking within the construction industry and provides companies with time together outside of their professional duties. Companies have the option to reserve a table displaying their logo, highlighting the event's connection to business relationships as well as running. The event also supports a charitable cause and is currently in its thirteenth year.
