Haliburton Forest Trail Race

The Haliburton Forest Trail Race is a September trail-running series held within the privately owned Haliburton Forest and Wild Life Reserve in Ontario. Participants can select from 12K, 26K, 50K, 50 miles, or the Haliburton Forest 100 Miler, the race’s signature distance. The event spans a weekend and has taken place annually since 1993. The routes traverse rugged forest trails, avoiding road sections. The terrain is hilly and winds through thick woods, past lakes, and alongside streams. Runners in shorter distances, ultrarunners, and 100-mile participants all use the same forest setting, making the series suitable as an accessible trail race and a demanding overnight ultra challenge.
