About this race
The Rainbow Run Presented by Co-op begins at Market Square in Saskatoon, Canada, with participants wearing bright Pride colours instead of typical race attire. This is Saskatoon Pride’s yearly running event, taking place during Pride Month. The program offers a 10K, a 5K, a 2.5K Family Fun Run, and a high-heel dash. Entry is limited to 500 participants, following a sell-out of the last event. Individuals can register or form a team.
The races occur throughout the morning by distance: the 10K first, followed by the 5K, then the family run, and concluding with the high-heel dash. Costumes are encouraged, with awards for the most creative outfits. The event originated from runners seeking a fitness-oriented method to support Saskatoon Pride, a volunteer group that also organizes the city’s Pride Parade, Pride in the Park, the Pride Artisans’ Market, and the Community Services Fair. Saskatoon Pride’s parade has a history of over twenty years and is the largest parade of its type in Saskatchewan.
