Running: Locals run the waterfront when they want steady base miles beside Kempenfelt Bay. Centennial Park Barrie Waterfront gives the Honda Waterfront Run Barrie its anchor feel, and Johnson's Beach, Minet's Point Beach, Tyndale Beach, Centennial Beach, and Sunnidale Park all sit in the regular rotation. The Simcoe County Loop Trail gives 160 km of mostly off-road rail-trail, with Barrie to Orillia landing around 35-40 km. The Simcoe County Loop Trail has 1 km and 330 m of gain. The climbs sit north and south, where the valley slopes get rather steep.
