Live Love Run 21K, 10K, 5K & 1K
SAT OCT 3
Live Love Run begins and ends at Brae Island Regional Park in Fort Langley, Langley Township, British Columbia. The event takes place in October, offering 21K, 10K, 5K, 1K, and virtual race options. Participants can select distances ranging from a short family run to a half-marathon-length trail race. The in-person event has a limit of 300 participants and has previously sold out. The course utilizes the Fort-to-Fort Trail alongside the Fraser River, crossing the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the Kwantlen First Nations. Stroller-friendly routes are available, providing accessibility for families. Aid stations and finisher medals are part of the standard race day setup. This marks the 14th annual running of the event, which supports breast cancer survivors and ABreast In A Boat, a dragon boat team associated with the cause.
CHSFW Rubber Ducky
SUN OCT 18
The CHSFW Rubber Ducky is an October race held at Burnaby Lake Regional Park in Burnaby, offering 5K, 7 Mile, and Half Marathon distances. The 7 Mile and Half Marathon routes complete a full circuit of Burnaby Lake. Participants must use a tag for timing; those without a tag will not receive a recorded result. The race course shares Burnaby Lake with the Shamrock’n Race in March, but the direction of the loop is reversed. Shamrock’n runs the 7 Mile and Half Marathon clockwise, whereas Rubber Ducky runs them counterclockwise. Burnaby Lake, situated centrally within the city, is a wildlife sanctuary featuring birds and animals along its trails. The lake was formed by a glacier approximately 12,000 years ago, and its shores were later sites for sawmills in the late 1800s, giving the course a historical context beyond a standard park loop.
2026 Vancouver First Responders Half Marathon- Trail Edition
SUN NOV 1
The Vancouver First Responders Half Marathon - Trail Edition is an autumn trail race in Vancouver, British Columbia, serving as the off-road version of the First Responders running series. Participants can select from a 21.1 km half marathon, a 10K, or a 5K. The half marathon course consists of two identical laps. The race includes a team option for the 21K and 10K distances, where four runners compete as a unit, with the team's overall time determined by the average of their individual finish times. The event's history dates back to the mid-2010s. Package pickup occurs the day before the race at The Right Shoe. Race morning features a mandatory briefing prior to the staggered start of the three distances, beginning with the longest and concluding with the shortest.
SCPC Vancouver Historic 5K, 10K & Half Marathon
SUN NOV 29
The SCPC Vancouver Historic 5K, 10K & Half Marathon takes place on Stanley Park’s paved Seawall, a well-known Vancouver route encircling the park's perimeter. Participants can select a 5K, 10K, or half marathon, accommodating walkers, casual runners, and those seeking a longer timed competition. The event utilizes shoe-tag timing, a finish-line clock, and in-person results, with tags gathered post-finish. The course traces the Seawall along Stanley Park’s northern, western, and southern shores, offering clear vistas of downtown Vancouver, the North Shore mountains, and the Lions Gate Bridge. Stanley Park, Vancouver’s original park, spans 400 hectares, placing the race alongside forests of cedar, hemlock, and fir, as well as the coastline. The event maintains a practical local-race atmosphere, featuring a group warm-up led by The Morgan Method, no race-day registration, and a Yellow Bib option for participants entering after standard merchandise and medals are gone.

About Half Marathon races in Vancouver

Vancouver Training Notes

Vancouver hosts 9 Half Marathon races in 2026 within 80 km of the city centre — upcoming dates, recurring series, and other races nearby, all in one place.

Locals keep the Seawall for easy Z2 because it is flat, scenic, and super convenient. Stanley Park gives runners the Bridle trail to Prospect Point, plus dozens of kilometres of soft trails when the legs need a break. Jericho to Spanish Banks gives you a 10km out and back with coastal mountains on the way out and downtown with mighty Stanley Park on the way back. Pacific Spirit Park adds 874 hectares of inner-city forest when you want to shut off your brain and run. Adidas Runners, Mile2Marathon, Vancouver Falcons Athletic Club, and Kitsilano Jogging Club cover the weekly crew scene. BMO Vancouver Marathon, Seawall Classic, and 2026 Under Armour Eastside 10K anchor the calendar.

Locals ride the Stanley Park Seawall and Arbutus Greenway for base miles, then use Central Valley Greenway, Adanac Bikeway, and Spirit Trail East when the day needs more shape. Grouse Grind is 4 km with 1,159 m elevation, and getting there can mean 20km of protected bike lanes from downtown. The Grouse Grind is 2 km and carries 1,005 m with plenty of punchy, steep work. Burnaby Mountain adds Trans Canada Trail, Side Bandit, and winter-friendly dirt. Escape Velocity, United Velo, Gradient Cycling Club, Gravel Buddies, WOWRide, and North Shore Mountain Bike Association cover road, gravel, crit, cyclocross, and singletrack. Global Relay Gastown Grand Prix and Rotary Ride for Hearing are the anchor events.

July and August are the best months because the city usually turns dry, and only one in five days gets precipitation. Summer puts the Seawall in full social mode, so locals often move intervals to Point Grey High School, where the blue track has a soft surface and flood lights for evening work. UBC roads give quieter training when you want road rhythm without overthinking it. Winter stays mild by Canadian standards, and Greater Vancouver ranks fourth-mildest among Canadian cities. Runners keep rolling on soft trails, while cyclists switch to dry days, midday rides, fenders, trainers, or mid-March road volume when the roads are mainly dry again.
