About this race
The Heseper Martinslauf is a cross-country running event held in Groß-Hesepe, starting at the Klein Hesepe sports facility and organized by SV Groß Hesepe. It coincides with the St. Martin season and features several short-to-middle-distance races, with distances of approximately 830 m, 1.6 km, 3 km, and 8.87 km.
The race takes place on a cross-country course within the Klein Hesepe forest, making it a local woodland race rather than a road event. Categories are available for children, school-age runners, youth, adults, and masters. A distinctive tradition is that every finisher receives a freshly baked Martinsgans, a St. Martin's goose pastry.
