About this race
Nassau-Rundfahrt begins and ends at Himmelsbornweg in Idstein, organized by Rad-Sport-Verein Idstein 1979 e.V. It is a German Radtourenfahrt, meaning participants join an organized road cycling tour, not a mass-start race for placings. The primary route covers 140 km with a profiled course and approximately 1,450 meters of elevation gain. The start is scheduled for 9:00 AM.
The ride takes place in the Nassau region of Hesse and utilizes GPS navigation. Recent routes have passed through Rheingau-Taunus, Limburg-Weilburg, and Lahn-Dill. A notable segment in a past edition was 13 km on the Ulmtalradweg, a bike path established on the former Ulmtalbahn railway line, known as the Balkan-Express. Participants received two refreshment stops during the ride, followed by sausages and beer at the finish, reflecting the club-organized nature of the event.
