About this race
The O-SEE Ultra Trail Race II is a mountain trail running event held in Kurort Oybin, within Germany's smallest low mountain range, the Zittau Mountains. Located at the border triangle with Poland and the Czech Republic, the race offers a compact mountain adventure rather than a city run. O-SEE Sports e.V. organizes the event, providing various formats: 16 km, 25 km, 50 km, 75 km, and 100 km, with team-duo options available for several distances.
The routes traverse the trails of Zittau Mountains Nature Park. Even the shorter courses involve significant elevation changes; the 25 km race includes over 1,000 meters of ascent and descent, with three aid stations and an eight-hour time limit. This 25 km race is part of the XTERRA Trail Run World Series and has ITRA ranking details, contributing to a competitive field beyond casual participants. The 75 km and 100 km distances utilize the same terrain, presenting a more demanding challenge across steep wooded trails, low-mountain ridges, and the rugged landscape of Saxony's eastern border.
