About this race
Bremen - Sankt Pauli 100mi is a May ultramarathon from Bremen’s Weserstadion to Hamburg’s Millerntorstadion, the football ground in Sankt Pauli. The single distance is 100 miles, or 160.9 km, with a 24-hour limit and a small field capped at 50 runners. It is built for very experienced ultrarunners, with a 5-out-of-5 difficulty rating and enough logistics to feel like a point-to-point expedition rather than a city race.
The route mixes field paths, singletrack, and asphalt, with GPS navigation instead of a fully marked road-race setup. Its 700 meters of climbing are not mountainous, but the rolling profile keeps the effort uneven across a full day and night of running. Bag transport from Bremen to Hamburg and drop bags help runners manage the long gap between two cities. Past results show how selective the race is: only 14 recorded finishers across listed editions, including winning times ranging from under 16 hours to well beyond 21 hours.
