About this race
The Harzer Radmarathon und Harzumrundung takes riders around and across the Harz, Germany's northernmost low mountain range, on the last weekend of June. It is a road-and-touring bike event with multiple distances, featuring a full Harz loop of 303 or 240 km rather than a single fixed race.
The Harzquerfahrt runs 155 km to Berga, the Brockentour climbs 111 km to the Brocken, and the Harzanstieg covers 88 km to Friedrichsbrunn; easier options go toward Osterwieck, around the Huy, or to Ströbeck for a children's ice-cream stop. Road bikes, mountain bikes, and e-bikes are permitted, and the organizer anticipates approximately 500 to 1000 participants in the cathedral city. Pro Sport Harz e.V. manages the revived event, whose earlier iteration was held in Goslar and is part of Germany's older bike-race traditions.
