39. Aalener Stadtlauf 2026

The Aalener Stadtlauf, organized by Aalener Sportallianz, is a July running event held in Aalen's city center. The main 10.5 km race consists of nine laps on a 1,150-meter loop through the Innenstadt, allowing spectators to see runners multiple times. The event also includes races for younger participants, such as student and Bambini races that attract hundreds of children and teenagers, alongside a team relay for local groups. The race is the city portion of the Stadt-Land-Fluss cup. Essinger Panoramaläufe represents the land segment, Kocher Cup Unterkochen the river segment, and Aalener Stadtlauf concludes the series in town. Participants completing all three cup races are entered into a prize drawing at the Aalen finale. Approximately 100 volunteers manage the event, assisting with the race office, catering, organization, and course marshalling. Staggered starts help maintain an orderly schedule and ease congestion at the start. Cheerleaders from Aalener Sportallianz provide encouragement along the course, contributing to the race's local, club-supported atmosphere.
