The DAV Nürnberg Novemberlauf is a traditional cross-orientation run in Franconian Switzerland, typically held on the second or third Sunday in November since 1965. Teams begin in the morning, navigating the area rather than following a fixed road race course, with a limit of 50 teams. Runners compete in female, mixed, and male team categories. The fastest overall team determines the main organizer for the subsequent edition. The event also features a practical, low-waste approach: participants are encouraged to use public transport or carpool, report their travel mode and person-kilometers for climate accounting, and bring their own cup for drinks at stations, along with a pen.
