About this race
The Seligenstädter Winterlaufserie is a four-race winter running series held in Seligenstadt, a Hessian town of approximately 20,000 residents situated on the Bavarian border. The initial three races take place on the third Saturday of November, December, and January, followed by the final race in February. Participants can opt for either a five or ten-kilometer distance, and a separate 1-kilometer race is available for younger children.
The series is a well-established local event, having completed dozens of editions. Over 200 runners participated in the final race of a recent edition, benefiting from mild, spring-like weather. The children's race commenced first, succeeded by the 5-kilometer event, while the 10-kilometer race featured competitive front-runners, with Fabian Sposato and Elise Razet emerging as the winners.
