About this race
The Naturpark Schönbuchlauf in Hildrizhausen is a 25 km autumn running race in Germany’s Schönbuch Nature Park, held annually in October since 1974. The main event is the 25 km “Herbstklassiker.” The program also features a 50 km distance, retained due to runner requests, and a new 5 km run.
The race attracts more than local club athletes; Olympic 5000 m champion Dieter Baumann and steeplechase world champion Patriz Ilg have participated. Early booking for the longer distances receives a discount until the end of July. The organizer maintains a jubilee chronicle documenting stories from the race’s extensive October history.
