About this race
The Bolbergtrail begins in Willmandingen, a part of Sonnenbühl on the Swabian Jura. It offers participants a 23-kilometer trail race covering approximately 900 meters of elevation gain. Though a recent addition, the event has established itself: it is a demanding trail run, not a flat road race, featuring forest paths, hills, and a significant endurance test.
From Willmandingen, the course ascends to the Bolberg summit, the highest point in the Reutlingen district. The route also goes near the Roßberg Tower and crosses wooded areas. The challenge stems from both the distance and the consistent elevation changes. This race is designed for those seeking a physical test in a natural setting, distinct from a quick city course. The event positions the race as a trial of both physical and mental fortitude.
