About this race
The Freisinger Volksfestlauf is an evening race series held on Untere Hauptstrasse in Freising, taking place from late afternoon into early evening. The event begins with children's races covering 700 meters and 1,500 meters, followed by 6.1 km and 10 km races for more competitive participants.
The race accommodates various runner types on the same day: younger children participate in shorter races initially, while adults and faster juniors can opt for the longer distances afterward. Now in its 39th edition, the race is an established local tradition, not a singular occurrence.
