Hochplatten-Berglauf 2026

The Hochplatten-Berglauf is a short mountain race in the Chiemgau Alps, ascending from Marquartstein-Piesenhausen towards the Hochplatten mountain station. The primary race commences at 10:30 a.m., covering 550 meters of elevation gain over 4.6 kilometers. This makes it more akin to a sustained uphill climb than a typical road race. The event, organized by TSV Marquartstein (also known as Turn- und Sportverein 1910 Marquartstein e.V.), has been held annually since 1984. The course is straightforward in concept but challenging in execution: begin in Marquartstein-Piesenhausen, ascend consistently, and conclude at Staffenalm, near the Hochplatten station.
