Runners start in the pit-lane area of the Hockenheimring and race on the same wide asphalt used by motorsport. The Hockenheimringlauf is a public road race in Baden-Wurttemberg, held annually in November, featuring Bambini, school-age, 5 km, and 10 km events. ASG Tria Hockenheim organizes it, and the event caters to children, club runners, hobby runners, and 10 km specialists.
The course remains on the Hockenheimring circuit, offering runners flat tarmac, wide bends, and the scale of Formula 1 grandstands rather than typical city streets. The Bambini race covers 350 meters, the Schülerlauf is 1,100 meters, and the 10 km participants complete two Grand Prix laps. Upon finishing, runners receive water, tea, and non-alcoholic beer. The event has been organized by ASG Tria Hockenheim since 1998 and is appreciated locally for its fast course and unique race-track location.
