HTV-Sparda Rheinuferlauf 2026

The HTV-Sparda Rheinuferlauf is a riverside running event in Duisburg-Homberg, located at Sportpark Friesenplatz and organized by Homberger Turnverein. It features a 5 km run, a 10 km race, a 7.5 km walk, and a 21.1 km half marathon, accommodating participants from short-distance runners to those undertaking a longer road effort. Registration is limited to 800 participants; online registration closes when 700 places are filled, with the remainder reserved for race day. The routes follow the Rhine, providing a waterfront setting within the Ruhr area. The event combines two historical elements: the HTV-Sparda-Rheinuferlauf is in its third decade, and the International Volkslauf with its half marathon has a longer history. Water stations are positioned approximately every 4 km, isotonic drinks are offered at the half-marathon turnaround, and finishers receive tea and water post-race. The top three finishers in each event receive prizes and certificates, with additional certificates accessible online later.
