Monschau Marathon 2026

The Monschau Marathon is a 42.195-kilometer race held in Monschau-Konzen, western Germany, with its event hub on Konrad-Adenauer-Strasse. Taking place in August, it guides runners into the Eifel-Hohes Venn Nature Park, positioning it more as a countryside and nature-park marathon than a city-road race. The event also offers a trail option and a relay, providing access to the same race weekend for teams and off-road runners. The course highlights the Eifel landscape, with participants completing the full marathon distance through the nature park instead of around an urban center. The race has over forty editions to its name and has been part of the Marathon and Ultra Cup for more than ten years. During the pandemic, organizers also hosted a virtual version that attracted nearly 300 participants, indicating a dedicated local running community beyond Konzen's start line.
