Munich Airport Freisinger Straßenlauf 2026

The Munich Airport Freisinger Straßenlauf circles Stoibermühlsee, north of Munich Airport, on a closed, asphalted course. This autumn road race in Freising, held in late October, has Munich Airport as its title sponsor. The first edition attracted nearly 300 participants, offering a local feel with competitive depth. Despite a start with heavy rain and wind, the sun appeared before the race, allowing runners to achieve personal bests on the sealed, controlled route. The course turning points are managed by the Freising and Marzling volunteer fire brigades. Wasserwacht Freising provides race-day support including power, parking, and medical services. LC Freising handles the venue and timing. The finish area features moderation, music, an arch, prizes, and vouchers from local businesses. Post-race, participants receive alcohol-free Erdinger, refreshments from REWE Lerchenfeld, and coffee from Junkers Café. The event also supports a community cause, with the first edition including 27 registrations for the Bavarian Bone Marrow Donor Action.
