About this race
The O-SEE Ultra Trail takes place in the Zittau Mountains Nature Park, Germany's smallest low mountain range, situated near the borders of Poland and the Czech Republic. This trail-running series offers a range of distances, from a 5.9 km light race and junior cross-country runs to ultra distances of 50 km, 75 km, and 100 km. Team duo options are also available for several of the longer races. The ultras begin early, with the 100 km participants starting at 04:00, followed by shorter races later in the morning and around midday.
The longer courses traverse the Zittau Mountains' hard mountain trails. The 65 km course extends the 50 km route by 15 km and adds 500 meters of climbing, totaling 2,620 meters of elevation gain. This 65 km race is ITRA-certified and serves as a UTMB qualifier. Participants range from those new to trail running on beginner-friendly routes to experienced ultrarunners. Age restrictions apply to the main races, while the 16 km and 25 km races are open to participants aged 16 and older. The event is at least in its eighth edition and features races within the SachsenEnergie Läufer-Cup.
