About this race
Race Across Germany Aachen-Görlitz is an 800-kilometer road ultracycling race from Aachen in western Germany to Görlitz on the Polish border. Riders cross the country from west to east and face 7,800 meters of climbing, making it a long-distance cycling challenge rather than a standard sportive.
The race can be ridden solo, as a two-person team, or as a four-person team, with entrants choosing either supported or unsupported racing. It also functions as a Race Across America qualifier. A shorter Light Version starts in Eschwege and finishes in Görlitz, reducing the distance to 425 kilometers with 3,300 meters of elevation gain.
