About this race
The Hamm race takes place in the birthplace of Friedrich Wilhelm Raiffeisen, providing the Raiffeisentriathlon its local connection. The series began in Neuwied and later included Hamm (Sieg), a short sprint-distance triathlon in Rheinland-Pfalz for amateur and age-group competitors. The Hamm event features a 300 m swim, an 18 km bike segment, and a 6.5 km run, with approximately 100 participants anticipated.
The bike course presents the most challenge: the organizer outlines three circuits on a 5 km loop, including elevation gain on each circuit. The quickest athletes complete the three circuits in less than 28 minutes. All bicycle types are permitted, including road bikes, mountain bikes, or e-bikes. Participants are recommended to travel clockwise to bypass left turns. The series' guiding principle is derived from Raiffeisen: "What one alone cannot achieve, many can."
