About this race
The Rimsinger Tuniberg-Panoramalauf begins and ends at the Franziskanerhalle in Oberrimsingen, situated on the Tuniberg near Freiburg. The primary event is an 11.5 km road and countryside run, offering a broad vista of the Upper Rhine Plain as its key characteristic. The schedule also features a 5.5 km Nordic Walking event, a 550 m race for the youngest children, and 2200 m races for children and youth, catering to club runners, walkers, families, and local children alongside competitive racers.
The Nordic Walking path diverges from the main course around the 3 km mark at the Attilafelsen, looping back through the vineyards to the Franziskanerhalle. SV Oberrimsingen, in connection with its almost 100-year history, organizes this event as part of a broader club initiative. Hildegard Falck, Olympic 800 m champion and former world record holder, presents the awards, with prizes for the top three in each age category. All participants receive a certificate, children get a printed runner’s T-shirt, and the finish area provides covered food and drink stalls, lunch, Tuniberg wine, beer, onion cake with new wine, coffee, cake, and a playground adjacent to the venue.
